Tippeni Healthpost

Our Hub identified a healthpost in Tippeni as a focus of rebuilding effort since the nearest hospital was a three-hour drive away, and its location in the Sindhupalchowk district was at the top list of most-devastated areas due to the earthquake. The hub raised more than USD 100,000 to rebuild this healthpost. The aim was to provide high quality service to residents of the area who cannot afford to travel for treatment and also to residents who preferred to go there for a low-cost high-quality service. After intensive rounds of schematic reviews, on-site sub-structure assessments, as well as clearing up of the road to the healthpost due to frequent landslides, the healthpost was rebuilt and started serving the nearby communities in full capacity by 2018.
